At Master Pierce, your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities. While we recommend a two-week check-up to ensure your piercing is healing properly.
As you probably already know, downsizing your jewellery is an important part of the healing process. Once the initial swelling goes away, shortening the length of the post helps to avoid the jewellery getting caught on things and moving around freely through the piercing, which in turn leads to more comfortable and easier healing.
You don’t need an appointment — just stop by our studio whenever it’s convenient for you!
Why a Two-Week Check-Up Matters?
- Healing Monitoring: Most piercings take several months to heal completely. During your visit, we assess how your piercing is progressing and address any concerns.
- Early Issue Detection: If you notice redness, swelling, or discomfort, our team can help resolve issues early and provide guidance.
- Jewelry Downsizing: Not coming in to downsize your jewelry can cause several issues:
- Longer healing process if any problems arise
- The bar may be too long and get snagged
- The angle of the piercing can shift
- Bumps may develop if there’s too much movement
When we downsize, we carefully fit the jewelry to your anatomy to minimize movement and support proper healing.
