Privacy Policy

At Master Pierce/MP Global Jewelry LLC, we understand that your privacy matters to you, and it matters to us as well. We created this Privacy Policy to explain (a) the types of information we collect through our Website, other Master Pierce/MP Global Jewelry LLC Websites where it appears, and the social networking platforms we use (each, a “Site”); (b) how we use, disclose, and protect this information after we collect it; and (c) how you can opt out of some of our uses and disclosures of your information. By visiting our Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, which we may update from time to time.

Here are a few general principles to keep in mind as you read through this Privacy Policy:
  • Master Pierce/MP Global Jewelry LLC and its corporate affiliates (collectively referred to in this policy as “we,” “us,” or “our”) own and operate the Site.
  • As our business evolves, we may update this Privacy Policy, so please check this page periodically to stay informed about how we treat your personal information.
  • Our Terms of Use, which govern your use of the Sites as a whole, include this Privacy Policy as part of them.
  • We may customize the advertisements you see on this Site and elsewhere based on your personally identifiable information and the Site usage information we collect, unless you opt out by following the instructions in our Privacy Policy. You must complete the opt-out process separately in each web browser you use. Even if you opt out, we may still suggest offerings to you on our Site based on your browsing history here.
OPT-IN AND OPT-OUT

You may have the right to opt-in to or opt-out of certain of our uses and disclosures of your Personal Information. For example, when we ask you to provide Personal Information on this Site, you may choose whether or not to receive messages from us by email or text. You may notify us of your desire to no longer receive promotional messages by modifying your email preferences in your account settings, or by clicking “Unsubscribe Me” or other similar option in Master Pierce emails. To opt out of our SMS messages, please text “STOP” to the applicable short code messaging address. Please understand that it may take us a few days to process any opt-out request and that even if you opt-out of receiving promotional correspondence from us, we may still contact you in connection with your relationship, activities, transactions and communications with us.

WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED ON THIS SITE?
User-Provided Information

“Personal Information” refers to details that identify you as an individual or allow someone to contact you. It also includes any information associated with those details.

We collect Personal Information such as your name, date of birth, and postal addresses. Other examples include e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, wireless device addresses, and gender. We may also collect credit card or other payment details, purchase history, site browsing data, and transaction history. Interests, hobbies, and demographic information are also included.

For example, we collect Personal Information when you complete transactions or create an account on our Site. We also collect it when you sign up for newsletters, make online purchases, or enter sweepstakes and contests. Additional collection occurs when you complete surveys, contribute to forums, or submit questions and comments through “contact us” or similar features.

An “invite-a-friend” or online greeting card tool provided on the Site and/or in our e-mails allows you to send information about our products and offerings to another person. You may also be able to purchase gifts for another Site user.
Site Usage Information

As with many websites, our servers automatically collect your IP address when you visit our Site. We may associate this with your domain name or that of your Internet provider.

We may also collect certain “clickstream data” related to your Site usage. This includes details about your device, browser, and operating system. It may also include their settings and the referring page that linked you to our Site.

Clickstream data covers pages you view, ads you click, and how long you stay on each page. It can include items you download, the next site you visit, and any search terms entered.

In addition, we may deploy various tracking technologies on the Site to collect additional information about your Site visits. For example:

  • Cookies are small data files that a website stores on your computer or device. A cookie assigns a unique numerical identifier to your web browser, which allows us to recognize you when you return to our Site and connect your activity with other information about you, such as your Site usage and Personal Information. We also use cookies to enhance your experience on the Site—for example, by remembering your username—or to collect general usage data and aggregated statistics. Most browsers allow you to detect and reject cookies, but if you refuse them, you may not be able to use some features of the Site. To learn more about cookies, including how to manage or delete them, click here.
  • Your computer or device may store local shared objects, such as “Flash cookies,” through a media player or other installed software. These objects work like cookies but require different management methods. Depending on your computer or device settings, you may be able to control them through the software itself. For example, you can click here to learn how to manage Flash cookies.
  • Some websites use HTML5 to store information on your computer or device about your activity on our Site. We can retrieve this information to understand how visitors use the Site, identify ways to improve it, and customize the experience for our users.
  • We may use cache cookies, such as eTags, to identify your computer or device as the same one that previously visited our Website or another website.
  • We may use browser history sniffing to detect whether you have visited one of our web pages or another site in the past by checking if its URL appears in your browser’s history file.
  • We may use browser fingerprinting to recognize your computer or device when you return to our Website. This method relies on detectable information from your computer or device that, when combined, creates a unique “fingerprint.”
  • We may use a pixel tag (also called a “clear GIF” or “web beacon”), which is a tiny one-pixel image placed on a web page or in our electronic communications. Pixel tags help us measure the effectiveness of our content—for example, by counting how many people visit our site, confirming whether you opened one of our emails, or verifying that you viewed one of our web pages.

We and our service providers or partners may deploy these tracking technologies on our behalf. These technologies allow us to assign you a unique number and connect your Site usage information with other details about you, including your Personal Information.

By using our Web Site, you consent to our use of these tracking technologies as described above.
HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION USED?
We or one of our service providers may use the information we collect from and about you to perform the following business functions:
  • Enabling users to use our Site and its features
  • Processing and fulfilling your transactions
  • Administering the Site and your account with us
  • Responding to your requests, questions, and concerns
  • Developing new features and offerings on the Site
  • Sending you marketing and other communications, including information about products, services, and events, of ours and of others, that we think might interest you. You may opt-out of receiving such notices from us by following the instructions in the Opt-In and Opt-Out section above.
  • Protecting our rights and property
  • Customizing our Site to your interests and history with us
  • Tailoring ads displayed to you on our Site and elsewhere to your interests and history with us
  • Other purposes disclosed when personal information is submitted to us

To perform these functions, we may combine information collected from you at different times or through different methods. This may include both Personal Information and Site Usage Information. We may also use information obtained from other sources, including demographic data and updated contact details.

We or our service providers may use your information to measure interest and engagement. This includes analyzing use of the Site, e-mails, and messaging campaigns, both individually and in aggregate.

SOCIAL NETWORKING

We maintain a presence on several social networking and blogging platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Our Site also incorporates certain third-party social networking features. Through these platforms and features, we may receive Personal Information and Site Usage Information about you. This Privacy Policy also applies to that information.

Each third-party platform has its own privacy policy. These policies explain how your information will be used and protected by the provider.

DO WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION AND SITE USAGE INFORMATION WITH OTHERS?
Yes. We may share the information we collect on the Site with others for a variety of reasons. In addition to the kinds of information sharing you might expect, such as sharing with third parties who need your information in order to provide services to us (or on our behalf) and sharing what you voluntarily post to public areas on the Site with other Site users, we may share your information:
  • With our affiliates.
  • With other registered users of the Site who conduct searches which yield search results that include you.
  • With our co-sponsor(s) if we obtain your information in connection with a contest, sweepstakes, offering, or other promotional activity that is jointly offered by us and any third parties unless you instruct us not to by following the instructions in the Opt-in and Opt-out section above.
  • When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or property, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud or respond to a government, judicial or other legal request, or to comply with the law.
  • In connection with a corporate change or dissolution, including for example a merger, acquisition, reorganization, consolidation, bankruptcy, liquidation, sale of assets or wind down of business.
In addition, we may share non-personally identifiable Site Usage Information (including aggregate data) with others, for their own use, in a form that does not include your name or contact information.
THIRD-PARTY AD SERVERS AND NETWORKS

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Site. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other Web sites, and the region of the country or world where your IP address indicates you are located, in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. These advertisements may appear on this Site and on other Web sites. These companies may employ cookies, clear GIFs and other tracking technologies to cause relevant ads to be displayed to you. We encourage you to read these businesses’ privacy policies to learn about how they treat your information. For more information about third-party advertisers and how to prevent them from using your information, visit the NAI’s consumer Web site at http://www.networkadvertising.org/consumer-education.

TEXT MESSAGE SERVICE

We may send messages to your wireless device through short message service (“Text Messaging”). By signing up, you agree to receive text messages from us at the address you provide. This applies until you choose to stop by texting “STOP” to the applicable short code address. Standard carrier rates will apply to any messages you receive.

Your opt-out request becomes effective once we send a confirmation text. By signing up, you confirm you are the device owner or an authorized user. You also confirm you are authorized to approve the applicable charges. To use Text Messaging, you must be 18 years or older and reside in the United States.

Before using the service, you must register and provide required Personal Information. This may include your name, text address, wireless carrier, and billing information. Billing may involve either credit card details or your mobile service carrier information. We may also obtain the date, time, and content of your messages during use.

Information collected through Text Messaging will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If fees are charged to your wireless account, we may provide related details to your carrier. Your carrier and other service providers may also collect wireless device usage data under their own policies. Additionally, we may access your account content to identify and resolve technical problems or service-related complaints.

YOUR ACCESS RIGHTS

You may review, update, or modify certain Personal Information stored in your account on the Site. To do this, log in to the “My Account” section or contact us using the “Contact Us” details below. We may request identity verification and other details before sharing information, correcting inaccuracies, or deleting records. Your right to delete information remains subject to our records retention policies.

SECURITY

We strive to protect the security and integrity of sensitive Personal Information collected through this Site. However, because the Internet is an open global communications vehicle, absolute safety cannot be guaranteed. Information sent during transmission, stored on our system, or held in our care may face intrusion by hackers.

Although we maintain strict policies and procedures to protect sensitive Personal Information, absolute safety cannot be assured. Data may still be vulnerable during transmission, storage, or handling, despite our security measures.

Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption protects your purchase information during the checkout process. In the checkout section of the Site, you will notice a closed lock symbol in your browser. You may also see the prefix “https” in your browser bar.

If you contact us by e-mail or through Web forms, please note that transmissions may not be secure. Third parties could view the information you send in transit. We are not liable for disclosure of your information caused by errors or unauthorized third-party acts during or after transmission.

If you create an account on our Site, you are responsible for maintaining the strict confidentiality of your account password, and you shall be responsible for any activity that occurs using your account credentials, whether or not you authorized such activity. Please notify us of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security.

If we believe the security of your Personal Information may have been compromised, we will notify you. When notification is appropriate, we will act as promptly as possible under the circumstances. In cases where we have your e-mail address, we may contact you by e-mail. By providing your e-mail, you consent to its use for such notifications. Those who prefer notice by U.S. Postal Service may e-mail us at contact@masterpierce.com

Their posted privacy policies, not this Policy, govern how your information is collected and used there. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of every website you visit after leaving our Site.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Policy from time to time. When changes occur, we will post them here with a new “Last Updated” date. If significant changes involve the use or sharing of your Personal Information, we may notify you by e-mail. In certain situations, we may also request your consent before applying updates.
