Breast Cancer Awareness Month Spotlight

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to focus on health, self-expression, and body confidence.

For many people, nipple piercings are a form of empowerment, art, and individuality. At Master Pierce, we believe in providing safe, professional, and comfortable piercing experiences, especially for such personal piercings.

📍 Our Studio at Wellington Green Mall

For all nipple piercings, we use implant-grade Titanium (Ti-6AL-4V-ELI ASTM F136).

Titanium is the safest option because it is lightweight, hypoallergenic, and helps reduce irritation during healing. We typically start nipple piercings with a slightly longer straight barbell. This allows room for swelling in the first weeks of healing.

Once the swelling goes down, most clients return for a downsizing appointment where we fit a shorter barbell that rests more comfortably. Downsizing is an important step to support long-term healing and reduce unnecessary pressure on the piercing.

Choosing the Right Piercer for You

Nipple piercings are very personal, and we understand that comfort is key.

At Master Pierce, you can request a male or female piercer, depending on what makes you feel most at ease. Our team is highly trained, professional, and dedicated to making sure you feel safe and respected throughout the process.

Please note: we do not perform nipple piercings on minors under any circumstances.

❤️‍🩹 Pain, Sensitivity, and Breastfeeding

Many clients ask what to expect when it comes to pain, healing, and how nipple piercings interact with breastfeeding. Here’s what you should know:

Pain and Sensitivity:
Everyone’s pain tolerance is unique, but most clients describe nipple piercings as a quick, sharp pinch followed by a short period of throbbing or tenderness.

Healing Process:
Nipple piercings take longer to heal than most other body piercings—typically anywhere between 6 to 12 months.

During this time, you may notice slight swelling or sensitivity. It’s crucial to follow your piercer’s aftercare instructions carefully and to avoid friction from tight clothing, excessive touching, or trauma to the area.

 ✔ Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:

For clients who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, we do not recommend nipple piercings. If you already have nipple piercings and are planning to breastfeed, jewelry should always be removed before feeding. Once your breastfeeding journey is complete, piercings can be re-done safely.

Long-Term Care:
Even after healing, keeping the area clean and monitoring for any changes or discomfort is important. Come back to see us in 2-6 weeks minimum. No appointment is necessary.

Nipple Piercings for Everyone

Nipple piercings are not just for women. Many men choose to have their nipples pierced, either for aesthetics, personal expression, or simply because they like the style.

Healing and jewelry recommendations are similar for both male and female clients, though anatomy can affect placement and jewelry sizing.

🌟 Jewelry Styles

After healing, clients often enjoy switching to different styles of jewelry:

  • Straight Barbells – the most common choice for nipple piercings, practical and secure.
  • Captive Bead Rings – a circular style that allows for a different look.
  • Decorative Ends – gemstone, opal, or gold tops that can personalize your barbell.
  • 14k Gold – a premium upgrade for clients looking for elegance and long-term wear.
  • Custom Designs – for those looking to make a bold statement once healing is complete.

Our jewelry is always high-quality, implant-grade, and safe for long-term wear.

❄️ Do Numbing Creams Work?

Some clients choose numbing creams to take the edge off. They can help reduce discomfort but won’t remove pain completely, and the effect may wear off mid-session. At Master Pierce, we can guide you on safe options—but it’s always best to manage expectations.

Recommended Aftercare Products

Naked Foaming Soap Aftercare – Gentle daily cleanser with tea tree, aloe, and lavender to keep skin fresh and clean.

💧 After Inked Tattoo Moisturizer – Hydrates, protects, and supports proper healing.

Use these products daily to keep your tattoo clean, moisturized, and vibrant while it heals.

❤️‍🩹 Healing & Aftercare

The tattoo journey doesn’t end when the machine stops. Healing comes with its own sensations—tenderness, itching, and sensitivity. Proper aftercare reduces discomfort and ensures your tattoo heals beautifully.

What to Expect:

✔ Initially: Redness and swelling for up to a week.

✔ During healing: Ink may rise to the surface, and light scabbing is normal.

✔ Fully healed: Colors soften and settle after about a month.
