There seems to be a lot of misconceptions about metals when people come to the kiosk. People seem to think if they have an allergic reaction to earrings that they need 14k gold. This is simply not the case. Or when people ask about the jewelry we have they just ask “are these real?” I’m not really sure what they want me to say they’re not imaginary. There’s more metals out there than “fake” and gold. First of all the allergic reaction is most likely from the metal “Sterling Silver” which people seem to think is pure silver. Sterling Silver contains a high level of nickel which is what most people are allergic to. Most of our jewelry is Implant grade Surgical Steel, which means that they are virtually impossible to be allergic to, it’s literally made for piercings. We also carry metals such as Titanium which is a higher grade and lighter metal, allergic reactions to the metal only affect less than 4 percent of the population. I could go on and on about all the different metals that are suitable for body jewelry and regular jewelry. The point is to realize that not all metals are bad, but you do indeed get what you pay for, you’ll never get a decent metal for super cheap prices.
